AVURUDU 2024

🌸 Here is your invitation to celebrate the Sinhala and Tamil new year festivities with the Sri Lankan community in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia areas! 🌸 

As usual, this year’s Awrudu Uthsawaya (new year festival) will follow traditional rituals that are passed down generations. 🎭 

Our goal is for our generations to see and take part in what makes our culture so beautiful! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We have an array of fun and exciting games arranged for you and your family to enjoy to the fullest! 🧨 

📚 This new year, we are also giving you an opportunity to do ‘Ganu Denu’ for a bigger cause. There will be a big box right beside the Rasa Kevili table for you to donate any new or used textbooks, story books and novels for children. We have located several schools and high schools in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰that could use your generosity! 📚
